Wawa To End Overnight Hours at Bensalem Store

Citing safety concerns Wawa will the ending the overnight hours at the 1549 Bristol Pike store in Bensalem. The location will be closed from 11:00 am until 5:00 am every day until further notice.

The Bensalem location joins 8 other Wawa stores.

Just days after an armed robber held up Wawa locations in Bucks County on consecutive nights, officials from Wawa announce that they would be closing nine stores spanning from Northeast Philly, to Bensalem and Churchville from 12 am to 5 pm.

Around 2 am a suspect held up the employees inside the Wawa at Street Road and Bustleton Avenue in Lower Southampton Monday morning around 2 am.

A day later, Northampton Township police say the same man held up the Wawa inside the Holland Shopping Center around 3 am.

A few stores in Philadelphia and the Bensalem location are closing at 11 pm every night.

While inconvenient, the safety of the Wawa staff and customers should be the priority.
