Lane closures, and stoppages scheduled for Bensalem Oct 10-13th

PennDOT has announced lane closures and brief stoppages scheduled at night on U.S. 1 and Rockhill Drive for construction in Bensalem Township, Bucks County.

The work schedule and locations are:

  • Monday, October 10, through Thursday, October 13, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, U.S. 1 will be reduced to one lane in both directions with periodic stoppages of up to 15 minutes in either or both directions between the Penndel/Business 1 and Pennsylvania Turnpike interchanges; and
  • Monday, October 10, through Thursday, October 13, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a flagger-controlled single-lane traffic pattern with periodic 15-minute stoppages is scheduled on Rockhill Drive between Horizon Boulevard and Neshaminy Boulevard.

The lane closures and stoppages will allow crews to dismantle an overhead sign structure on U.S. 1 and continue construction of the new U.S. 1 bridge over Rockhill Drive at the Neshaminy Interchange.

Motorists are reminded that the ramp to southbound U.S. 1 from Rockhill Drive remains closed and detoured during construction at the Neshaminy Interchange.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas. All scheduled activities are weather dependent..
