Second Sexual Extortion Arrest In A Week
Yesterday, 21-year-old Jonathan Brodecki of Moore Avenue Bensalem turned himself in to Bensalem Police Detectives to face multiple felony charges for the sexual extortion of 9 juvenile victims ranging in age from 12 to 15 and across multiple states.
This is the second sexual extortion brought to justice by Bensalem Police in a week.
In January of 2024, Bensalem Police acted on information regarding a Snapchat account that was sexually extorting a 15-year-old girl. The initial investigation revealed that the creator and user of the account in question, “jack_goodric,” was Jonathan Brodecki. Brodecki used his Snapchat account to impersonate a middle-school or early high-school-aged boy.
Using this persona he was able to convince the victim to send him sexually explicit photos and videos, believing they were the same age. When she attempted to break off contact with Brodecki, he threatened to post the images of her publicly.
Further investigation would show that the “jack_goodric” Snapchat account, was used to victimize eight other victims—all female, from ages 12 to 15.
In all instances, Brodecki would “add” these girls on Snapchat and pose as a teenager, sometimes 13, 14, or 15. He would then request that the girls take and send him sexually explicit images, which many of the victims did. Brodecki would also send sexually explicit images to multiple victims.
At least one other victim, a 13-year-old girl, was sexually extorted by Brodecki, who threatened to find her and sexually assault her, as well as publicly post explicit images of her.
In March of 2024, a search warrant was executed at Jonathan Brodecki’s residence where multiple electronic devices were seized. A forensic examination of those devices would show Brodecki had also been using a fictional Instagram persona account for the same illicit purposes as the fictional Snapchat profile.
Police believe there are more juvenile victims who have not been identified.
Jonathan Brodecki has been charged with
- Sexual Abuse of Children (9 Counts – Felonies)
- Sexual Extortion/Distribution of Images (2 Counts – Felonies)
- Sexual Abuse of Children/Possession of Child Pornography (9 Counts – Felonies)
- Unlawful Contact with a Minor (14 Counts – Felonies)
- Obscene and Other Sexual Materials and Performance/Dissemination to Minors (3 Counts – Felonies)
- Corruption of Minors (2 Counts – Felonies)
- Corruption of Minors (7 Counts – Misdemeanors)
- Terroristic Threats (1 Count – Misdemeanor)
- Stalking (2 Counts – Misdemeanor)
- Criminal Use of a Communication Facility (1 Count – Felony)
Jonathan Brodecki was arraigned before Judge Joseph Falcone, who remanded him to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10% of $5,000,000 bail.
Brodecki was unable to post bail at that time.
His preliminary hearing is set for June 11, 2024, before Judge Michael W. Gallagher.
