National Night Out | August 6th Cancelled

Due to anticipated weather, National Night Out is Cancelled for tonight and rescheduled for August 27th. 

 

National Night Out was introduced in August of 1984 through an already established network of law enforcement agencies, neighborhood watch groups, civic groups, state and regional crime prevention associations, and volunteers across the nation.

NNO is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.

Neighborhoods across the country began to host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts, and various other community events with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from emergency personnel, exhibits, and more. The event now involves 38 million neighbors across 17,000 communities.

Bensalem Police Department will host their National Night Out at the Township Pavilion, 2400 Byberry Rd on Tuesday, August 2nd from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM.

Light refreshments will be served

The Bensalem Police Department will host

  • K9 Demonstrations, Police vehicle Displays which will include a
  • Crime Scene Unit Truck Vehicle Displays
  • Mobile Command Post
  • Motorcycles
  • Patrol Cars
  • SWAT Truck
  • Police Drone
  • Philadelphia Police Helicopter
  • the “Behind Closed Doors” Educational Trailer

and of course, the Copsicle Ice-Cream Bus. The evening should be fun for kids of all ages.
