On Saturday, January 31, 2026, the Xcite Center at Parx Casino hosts a night of legendary rock featuring The Marshall Tucker Band and Jefferson Starship.
The Marshall Tucker Band (MTB), a cornerstone of the Southern rock genre, has been captivating audiences since they formed in Spartanburg, South Carolina, in 1972. Led by founding member and lead vocalist Doug Gray, the band is celebrated for its unique blend of rock, country, and blues. Gray is joined by a talented lineup including B.B. Borden (drums), Ryan Ware (bass), Marcus James Henderson (keyboards/sax/flute), Chris Hicks (guitar), and Rick Willis (guitar).
MTB’s extensive catalog features over 20 studio albums and timeless hits such as “Can’t You See,” “Heard It in a Love Song,” “Fire on the Mountain,” and “Long Hard Ride.” Their influence on the music industry is profound, inspiring generations of artists and earning the respect of peers like The Charlie Daniels Band and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
