Multiple Ice Cream Brands Recalled Due to Listeria Concerns
Time to check your freezers, Totally Cool Inc. has issued a recall for multiple brands of ice cream due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
The recall affects products from:

- Abylin’s Frozen
- Hershey’s
- Yelloh!
- Jeni’s
- Cumberland Farms
- The Frozen Farmer
- Marco
- ChipWich
- AMAFruits
- Taharka
- Dolcezza Gelato
- Lasalle
Recall Details
The recalled ice cream products, distributed nationwide through retail stores and direct delivery, have not been linked to any illnesses so far. However, Totally Cool Inc. has halted production and distribution after FDA testing identified Listeria contamination.
Consumers who have purchased these products should return them to the place of purchase for a refund.

Listeria Risks
Listeria monocytogenes can cause severe infections, particularly in young children, the elderly, pregnant women, and individuals with weakened immune systems. Symptoms can appear within two weeks of consuming contaminated food or as late as 10 weeks later.
Symptoms include fever, muscle aches, and fatigue. The CDC notes that pregnant women are at higher risk, with potential complications including fetal loss and newborn death.
The general population at risk includes seniors and those with compromised immune systems, with a high rate of hospitalization and a significant mortality rate. About 87% of cases not associated with pregnancy need hospitalization, and about 1 in 6 patients die.
