Executive Park Playground Joins Coves Park In Closure

The Bensalem Township website announced this morning that the Executive Park Playground on Barnswallow Drive will be closed until further notice. The closure is necessary so that the playground equipment can be replaced.

Executive Park Playground joins Coves Park which was closed on April 23rd, in order to update the space into a more modern play area.  Many of Bensalem playgrounds are slated for upgrade over the next five years with at least one more closure this year.

As we reported last month, Bensalem Township is working on locking down funding to overhaul Imagination Land to add additional features for children with disabilities, including a wheelchair-accessible merry-go-round. That construction, if all goes according to plan, would begin in January 2025.

There is currently no estimate on when either playground will reopen. Although, Kyle Pennypacker Director of Bensalem’s parks and recreation department, has said typical playground installations do not take long.
