Celebrating James Thorpe

James Thorpe has been recognized as a Life Member by the Trevose Fire Company, Nottingham Fire Department Station 65, Cronwells Fire Company, and the Bensalem EMS.

Not bad for someone who has served the township for 70 years. But it doesn’t stop there he is also a Life Member of the Bensalem Rescue Squad and the Lambertville Rescue Squad.

“A living legend in the fire service resides right here at the NFD65”

“Jimmy is known as a well-respected instructor throughout the region. We are thankful to have you helping guide our members.”

James Thorpe has led the Bensalem EMS technical rescue training for almost a decade and has been credited with helping to improve the careers of countless Bucks County safety officials.

“Jimmie actually trained a future generation of first responders. We can only hope to carry on his tradition.” Bensalem EMS

Many fire companies throughout the township offered their congratulations to Jim Thorpe for reaching that milestone.

“Congratulations to Life Member Jimmie John Thorpe on 70 years as a Bensalem firefighter,” the Trevose Fire Company

Congratulations Knot Guru, on a life well lived.
