New Principal Appointed at Russell C. Struble Elementary School
Big changes are coming to the hallways of Struble Elementary! After 18 years of incredible service, Mrs. Lana Judy has officially hung up her whistle to enjoy retirement. While it’s hard to say goodbye to a local legend, the school board, as we reported in December, has officially given the “thumbs up” to her successor, Mr. Borislav Ben.

Mr. Ben isn’t a total stranger to the neighborhood—he’s been serving as the Assistant Principal over at Belmont Hills and Cornwells since last summer. He’s got some serious “teaching chops” too, having started his career in Philadelphia, where he taught a dual-language Russian-English class. If you see him in the car rider line, give him a warm Bensalem welcome!
The Details
- The New Face: Mr. Borislav Ben is officially the new Principal at Struble.
- The Transition: He takes over following Mrs. Lana Judy’s retirement on January 23rd.
- Background: He holds degrees from Temple and UPenn and has experience as a curriculum writer and assistant principal.
- His Promise: Mr. Ben says he’s most excited to work with the “families who truly show up” and wants to keep the Struble traditions going strong.
Why It Matters
A school’s principal sets the vibe for the whole building, and moving from a long-term leader to a new one is a big milestone for students and staff alike.
The Bottom Line
Keep an eye out for upcoming “Meet the Principal” events or school newsletters to introduce yourself to Mr. Ben as he settles into his new home at Struble!
