Bensalem Township Police have arrested a Philadelphia man accused of attempting to lure a minor for sexual activity. Curtis Evans, 44, of North 30th Street, was taken into custody on December 2, 2025, following a months-long investigation.
Police allege that beginning in September 2025, Evans engaged in conversations on a social media app with a detective posing as a 13-year-old girl.
According to authorities, Evans solicited the “child” for a meeting at a movie theater and explicitly described sexual acts he intended to perform. He allegedly requested nude photographs and provided instructions on how to hide the communications from parents.
Investigators say Evans drove from Philadelphia to Bensalem on November 18, believing he was meeting the minor, though no meeting occurred and no actual children were involved or endangered.
Evans was arrested by Philadelphia Highway Patrol on an active Bensalem warrant. He faces felony charges, including Unlawful Contact with a Minor, Sexual Abuse of Children, and Criminal Use of a Communication Facility.
He was arraigned and sent to Bucks County Correctional Facility in lieu of 10% of $500,000 bail.
