Over a Million Dollars of Illegal Narcotics Taken Off Bensalem Streets

The Bensalem Police Department is reporting that on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, their Special Investigations Unit in conjunction with the Philadelphia DEA HIDTA Task Force seized approximately 40,000 fentanyl pills, 11 pounds of methamphetamine and $5,000.00 is cash. Effectively taking over a million dollars of illegal narcotics off the street.

Four suspects, Ramon Caro, 19,  from Riverside, California, Arturo Avila, 37, Anthony Gonzales, 26, and Alex Zaragoza, 22 were found in possession of the illegal narcotics and cash in the area of 3300 block of Street Rd.

All four suspects were charged with possession with intent to deliver, criminal conspiracy, and related charges. They were arraigned in front of District Justice Daniel Baranosku and remanded to the Bucks County Correction Facility without bail. The Bucks County DA’s office will be prosecuting the cases.

The Bensalem Township Police Department credit the arrests and seizures to their ongoing partnership with the US Drug Enforcement Administration.
