Neshaminy Mall Is Going To Look Very Different

With the $27.5 million purchase of Neshaminy Mall complete, the new owners have plans for the struggling location. Those plans include demolishing at least half of it.

While the full extent of the plans is unknown, we do know what is staying. AMC Theatre, Boscov’s department store, and Barnes & Noble.

Boscov alone attracts nearly 1 million annual visits, making it the fourth-most visited location in the retailer’s chain of stores.

Also staying are restaurants Uno Pizzeria and On The Border Mexican Grill, both highly trafficked seeing well over 200k customers a year.

Fusion Gyms will take over the former Macy’s location. That site was not included in the sale, as that piece was bought by Sant Properties in 2020. Fusion Gyms have plans to convert a portion of the space into a sports and fitness.

The new owners plan to tear down up to 500K SF of the remaining mall site, which is currently only 20% leased. Initial plans call for medical or housing space alongside retail.

Paramount Realty Principal Maurice Zekaria, anticipates presenting its plan to Bensalem Township and has said they want to work with the township on the project.

We’ll know more once those plans are presented. For now, let the speculation floodgates open wide!
