Michael Dunbar Arrested After Confession

On Thursday, April 25, 2024, Bensalem Police received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

The tip was about a particular Google account that had uploaded and saved numerous videos depicting child pornography, including prepubescent boys and girls engaging in sexual acts with each other. Bensalem Detectives began their investigation and were able to determine that the owner/user of the Google account was Michael Dunbar, 55, from State Road, Bensalem.

Detectives served a search warrant on Michael Dunbar’s residence on Thursday, June 20, 2024. Dunbar was interviewed, and would later admit to intentionally uploading child pornography into his Google account after finding the videos on the Dark Web.

Michael Dunbar was arrested and charged with Child Pornography and Criminal Use of Communication Facility.

He would later be arraigned by District Justice Michael Gallagher and remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10% of $300,000 bail. Dunbar was unable to post bond.

The preliminary Hearing is scheduled for July 2nd at 9:00 AM.
