Fatal Fire At The Top of the Ridge Trailer Park
Bensalem Police are reporting a tragic fatal fire incident at the Top of the Ridge Trailer Park on Gibson Road.
Bensalem Police, along with Bensalem Fire Rescue and volunteers from Newport, Nottingham, and Penndel fire companies, responded to an active fire at lot D14 at 5:00 PM, on Friday, June 7, 2024,
Crews arriving at the lot found the mobile home fully engulfed in flames. The fire had also spread to the neighboring home on lot D12. Firefighters extinguished the fire and limited the damage to only two homes.
When firefighters entered the lot D14 mobile home, they discovered a deceased male, identified as 45-year-old Joseph Stadler. No other injuries to residents were reported.
One firefighter was treated and released from Jefferson Torresdale Hospital for smoke inhalation while battling the blaze.
The mobile home on lot D14 was a total loss while D12 suffered significant damage.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the fire started in the home’s living room area, however, the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
