Bensalem’s Coffee With A Cop at Target

If you have been following the news, especially in Bensalem Weekly’s Crime and Public Safety section, you may have noticed a surge in retail crime in Bensalem.

So much so that the Bensalem Police and local businesses have responded by launching Bensalem Secure, the business theft reduction initiative, and with it, the Bensalem Secure Theft Reduction Taskforce.

But part of that initiative has to include the public. Educating shoppers on how retail theft affects them both directly and indirectly. That means public outreach and with that Coffee with a Cop is born.

In what we hope becomes an ongoing effort that includes other businesses in Bensalem, the Bensalem Police Department has partnered with Target for Coffee with a Cop this Saturday, May 18th in the Target Store on Rockhill Drive.

The event will occur from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and includes Bensalem police officers, detectives, and Target asset protection personnel to answer your questions and concerns and offer advice on what you can do to help.

Things are expensive enough without adding in the cost of crime.
