Bensalem’s ‘Trump Store’ on Street Road Set to Close Later This Month

Owner says the business has “run its course” as the 2024 election season fades into history.

A distinct fixture of the Bensalem retail landscape is saying goodbye. The “Trump Store,” which has operated out of the strip mall at 2060 Street Road for the past six years, is set to close its doors permanently on January 31.

The Details

As first reported by Associated Press and confirmed by local outlets like CBS Philadelphia, owner Mike Domanico has decided it is time to move on. Domanico, who opened the shop in 2020, cited a combination of factors for the closure. With the 2024 election in the rearview mirror and President Trump serving his final term, the demand for campaign merchandise has naturally cooled. “The store has kind of run its course,” Domanico said in an interview, noting that he is semi-retired and plans to focus on his other business, selling firearm targets at gun shows.

The shop had become a well-known, if sometimes polarizing, landmark in the township. It attracted die-hard supporters from across the region and even stocked “Trump 2028” gear—items Domanico admitted were mostly stocked “to get people riled up.” A clearance sale began earlier this week, offering deals on remaining inventory before the lease expires in February. While the physical storefront is closing, Domanico indicated that online sales would continue.

Why It Matters to Bensalem

For residents, this marks a tangible shift in the atmosphere along one of our busiest corridors. Since 2020, the store served as a physical hub for political expression in a county that is often seen as a national bellwether. Whether you shopped there or drove past it shaking your head, its presence on Street Road was a constant reminder of the intense political climate of the last few years. Its departure signals a return to “business as usual” for the strip mall and perhaps a quiet down in the overt political campaigning that has defined our suburbs recently.
