Bensalem Township Seeks New Director of Public Works

Bensalem Township is hiring a Director of Public Works, with applications due by March 20, 2026.

Qualifications and Requirements

The position oversees the township’s roads, sanitation, fleet maintenance, and capital improvement projects, reporting directly to the Mayor and Director of Administration. It’s an executive-level role that also involves emergency response coordination and regulatory compliance.

The salary range is $120,000 to $140,000, depending on experience, plus a benefits package.

Candidates need at least six years of public works management experience and ten years managing crews. A bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration is required; a Civil Engineering degree is preferred but not mandatory. Applicants must also hold — or be able to obtain — a PA Class III driver’s license and a CDL Class B license.

There’s a residency requirement: applicants must live within 12 miles of the township border.
