Bensalem Police Suspend Search For Armed Suspect In Eddington

The Bensalem Police Department has suspended the search they have spent much of the afternoon engaged in.

Police were hunting for an armed robbery suspect from Warminster, in the Eddington section of the township. He is considered armed and dangerous.

One suspect from the robbery has been detained. 

The suspect, described as a black male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blank pants, and a black ski mask, left his getaway vehicle in the Brown Avenue and Olga Avenue area and fled on foot.

He was in the area of Brown Avenue towards Forrest Avenue at 2:23 PM.

Police ask that Eddington residents stay vigilant and dial 911 if they see anything suspicious.

UPDATE: May 28, 2024

The suspect detained by Bensalem Police officers responding to the Eddington area on Woodbine Avenue at Eddington Avenue was found to be the only perpetrator.

“Through investigation, it was discovered that there was no second subject in the vehicle when it was ditched. The subject in custody was the only person in the Dodge Charger.”

Warminster Police Detectives responded to the scene to tow the ditched vehicle and to the Bensalem Police Department to interview the suspect who was taken into custody.

The Warminster Township Police Department is now handling any further information about this incident.

Bensalem Police will not provide any other information at this time.
