Bensalem Police Announce 13 Retail Theft Arrests
Township Police announced 13 arrests from June 7th through June 13th, restating their commitment to a zero-tolerance policy towards “retail thefts and will arrest anyone detained or identified as committing these crimes”.
Two Bensalem residents were among those arrested last week, 18-year-old, Alex Sokolowski for stealing $253 worth of goods from Target and 47-year-old, Micheal Wasco for stealing $330 worth of goods from Giant.
It is important to note that a 16-year-old was apprehended for stealing $30 worth of merchandise from Kohls, demonstrating the department’s strict zero-tolerance policy.
The department will post a list of people arrested for Retail Theft and related charges in Bensalem Township each week.
The Bensalem Township Police Department, in partnership with the Bensalem Township Economic Development Corporation and local business owners, has launched Bensalem Secure. Bensalem Secure is a multifaceted approach to reducing retail theft in the township and beyond.
