Bensalem Man Victim Of Friday’s Shooting
A shooting at the Steam Pub in Upper Southampton Township on Friday left 2 men dead and with a third man, a 24-year-old was injured and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Steven A. Panebianco, 30, was from Bensalem, Raymond A. Farrell IV of Philadelphia, both close childhood friends, were identified by the Bucks County Coroner, Meredith Buck, according to a news release from her office. Both were close childhood friends
Gunfire was reported around 11:30 pm outside the bar and restaurant located on Second Street Pike. One of the calls to 911 was from the shooter, who remained at the scene until police arrived at the location.
A news release from District Attorney Matthew Weintraub’s office reports the shooter is a 21-year-old. has been identified and is cooperating with the active investigation.
FOX 29 reports Upper Southampton Police Chief Dominic Veracallo said during the investigation it was shown the 21-year-old shooter, has a valid gun permit and acted in self-defense. Police say they don’t expect charges to be filed at this time.
Detectives have recovered the gun from the scene and are reviewing surveillance video and trying to obtain additional video.
The Steam Pub was Saturday evening with a sign on the door saying it won’t reopen until Wednesday.
