Bensalem Police Arrest 14 in First Week of September
Township Police announced 14 arrests from August 30th through September 5th, restating their commitment to a zero-tolerance policy towards “retail thefts and will arrest anyone detained or identified as committing these crimes”.
In this week’s roundup, we meet Bensalem local 28-year-old Jorge Vasquez who thought it would be a good idea to walk into Redner’s and steal $5.00, yes, you read that right. And the grand prize winner was 29-year-old Tynesha Ellis from Burlington, NJ who walked into Kohls and walked out with $1195.00 worth of stolen goods.
The department will post a list of people arrested for Retail Theft and related charges in Bensalem Township each week.
The Bensalem Township Police Department, in partnership with the Bensalem Township Economic Development Corporation and local business owners, has launched Bensalem Secure. Bensalem Secure is a multifaceted approach to reducing retail theft in the township and beyond.
