Son Arrested For Attempted Murder Of Stepfather
An emergency call prompted the dispatch of Bensalem Police on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, to Boston Avenue, Trevose, PA at around 8:34 pm. The caller said his brother had just stabbed his father in the chest.
Officers arrived to find 21-year-old Angelo Torres-Nantipia, in the front of the home with a knife in his hand. He was taken into custody without incident.
When officers found the victim, Oscar Macas was lying on the patio deck of the Boston Avenue home with a sucking chest wound, an apparent knife wound.
Bensalem Officers rush into lifesaving action
Police officers then rushed into action, retrieving a trauma bag from their vehicle, applying a chest seal, and performing other life-saving measures. Bensalem EMS personnel arrived and transported the victim to the Jefferson Torresdale Emergency Room, where he was immediately taken into surgery.
Macas, the stepfather of Angelo Torres-Nantipia, is currently listed in critical but stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit.

It would be later found that Oscar Macas had obtained a temporary (6-month) Protection from Abuse Order on March 13, 2024, from Bucks County Common Pleas Judge Matthew Weintraub against his stepson.
Angelo Torres-Nantipia was charged with Attempted Criminal Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Indirect Criminal Contempt, Possession of Instruments of Crime, Simple Assault, and Recklessly Endangering Another Person.
He was arraigned by District Justice Corryn Kronnagel and remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on $1,000,000 bail.
