Share

Bensalem Township, in partnership with Jump Start Sports, has officially opened registration for a high-energy lineup of youth programming designed for all ability levels. Whether you have a toddler just learning to move or an older child ready for competitive sports, the 2026 schedule offers a wide variety of activities at local parks like Firefighters Field and Bensalem Community Park.

The Details

The spring season kicks off as early as March 21st with the “Young Rembrandts” art program. For those looking for traditional sports, the township is offering specialized clinics in floor hockey, lacrosse, and basketball throughout May and June.

The crown jewel of the season, the Summer Rec Full Day Playground Program, is also returning to Bensalem Community Park. This 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM program serves children entering 1st through 6th grade. Parents are urged to register immediately via the township’s RecDesk portal, as enrollment is strictly first-come, first-served.

Why It Matters to Bensalem

These programs utilize our local tax-funded parks to provide affordable, high-quality childcare and athletic training. For working parents, the 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM summer camp window is a vital resource. However, with strict enrollment limits and no automatic spots for previous participants, register early or risk missing out.

His goal for Bensalem Weekly is simple: to stop the "hunting and searching" and give residents one reliable place for both hard news and local life.
